The last time we saw Love & Hip-Hop star Mendeecees Harris he checked into a minimum security prison in January to serve out his eight-year sentence for his involvement in a drug trafficking ring.

After 10 months of being locked down, Harris wants out. According to Bossip, the reality star filed court papers on Oct. 31 (Monday) asking a judge to reduce his sentence by three years so he can talk to the youth about the dangers of drugs through speaking engagements.

According to the documents, Harris has been a model prisoner and during his incarceration participated in various programs, including Adult Continuing Education courses and Health and Wellness courses. The document further states that Harris has received 100 letters from teens who thanked him for his inspirational presentations before he was sent to prison.

Harris’ attorney says the court has the authority to cut the original sentence and should consider him supporting his four kids, his work in the community and his full cooperation during the case. Harris wants the judge to reduce his sentence from eight years to 5.2 years.

A judge will rule on the motion later this month.
