After much fanfare, Grammy nominated producer Hit-Boy has released his rapping debut HITstory.

The 11-song mixtape was released for free via the "N----s in Paris" producer's HS87 imprint, and features the singles "Old School Caddy," "Jay-Z Interview," and appearances by Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Bun B, John Legend and more.

Though the California native's production typically shines, and he showcases some conceptual creativity, for the most part Hit-Boy's vocal performance is unspectacular, coming off like Kanye-lite, while the guest stars run away with the show.

"I'm just excited to finally put out material of my own," Hit-Boy says of the mixtape. "I've put my heart into building hit records for other artists and now, I feel it is time for me to prove myself as a recording artist too."
