Out of the blue, Dom Kennedy and Hit-Boy dropped a surprise collaborative album called Courtesy of Half-A-Mil. The project follows Kennedy and Hit-Boy’s previous three EPs under the rap alias Half-A-Mil.

The collection boasts 14 songs with cameo appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Larry June, Tyus and Jay 305. Although Hit-Boy is known for his infectious beats, he’s no slouch on the bars. Highlights include "Don't Know Me," "Numbers" and "500 Band Clique."

In addition to the album, Kennedy and Hit-Boy also dropped an accompanying documentary, which chronicles the recording process of Courtesy of Half-A-Mil. In the film, Hit-Boy said that their joint album is for their loyal fans.

"It's for the people," he says about the project. "I feel like it's to inspire the youth. It's to inspire the next generation to make music but do it in their own way and just be fly with it. Keep it genuine."

The Courtesy of Half-A-Mil project is available for streaming at Apple Music, Spotify and other platforms.
