Some big things are happening in hip-hop. On Friday (Jan. 26), Black Thought revealed that he’s working with famed rap producer 9th Wonder on a collaborative project.

The Roots member made the announcement during an edition of Black Thought Cinema Presents, which was screening Spike Lee’s 1988 flick School Daze. It was there that he said that he’s working with 9th on an EP. The video was posted on NodFactor's Twitter account (via Okayplayer).

It looks like 9th wanted to keep it a secret but the cat's out the bag. Honestly, we can't wait for it to drop.

Black Thought and 9th Wonder have worked together before. In 2017, the Philly spitfire delivered killer bars on “Making a Murderer," which featured Styles P and produced by 9th Wonder.

So yeah, this possible collaborative EP is going to be epic.

In the meantime, you can hear Black Thought on Lin-Manuel Miranda's remix of "Wrote My Way Out" Remix, which is also epic.
