XXXtentacion reportedly has canceled his “Revenge Tour” after suffering a loss in his immediate family.
On Saturday (June 24), the Florida rhymer went on his Instagram page to announce that he’s postponing his trek after learning that his cousin has been shot. In a now since-deleted post, he wrote:
Dear fans and supporters, I am postponing the tour and giving a full refund to everyone that has purchased a ticket due to my cousin being shot yesterday. I want to be by his side, I apologize to everyone I am disappointing, I am, & must choose to maintain my mental health & physical health before anything, we will have fun and meet soon!
“Florida, since I will be home I will do your show, but after that, I am disappearing for a while,” it continued. “I love you all – xxx.”
XXXtentacion didn't provide any additional information regarding refunds or possible make-up dates.
The 19-year-old rapper's trek has been the center of much controversy in the past weeks. Last month, X was viciously attacked by a man who sucker punched him onstage. Then he took another L when his handlers threw him into some barricades as he was trying to crowd surf the audience. Finally, X punched a fan in his face because he touched his chest.
In his message above, X stated that he wanted to maintain his mental and physical health. Let's hope he gets some much-needed rest and return to the stage with a clearer head.
