Soldier Kidd and Soldier Jojo Deny Involvement in XXXTentacion’s Murder
Following the shooting death of 20-year-old Florida rapper, XXXTentacion, who was killed while shopping for motorcycles yesterday in Broward County, Florida, rumors quickly began circulating about who was responsible for the murder.
Rappers Soldier Kidd and Soldier JoJo's names were brought up in the online speculation after social media posts showed them posing with a red mask and picking up food from a takeaway close to the murder scene, reports The Independent. However, both rappers have denied any involvement in XXX's shooting.
“I’ve been seeing a lot of comments, I’ve been seeing a lot things going on social media saying that I had something to do with XXXtentacion’s passing,” Soldier Kidd said on Instagram. “My condolences go to the man’s family and whatnot." He continued, "I had nothing to do with it, but I’m going to keep my head up and stay positive like I always do.”
Soldier JoJo also said he didn't have anything to do with the young rapper's murder.
“We respect everybody, straight up. We ain’t with none of that shit man, I respect that man for who he is, and RIP to that man," he said on Instagram.
According to TMZ, police said the suspects were two black males wearing hoodies, with the shooter wearing a red mask. Both suspects fled in a dark-colored SUV. No arrests have been made.
