Not only is Kendrick Lamar arguably one of, if not the best rapper alive right now, his live showings border on performance art. Remember what he did at the Grammys back in February?

This past weekend, K.Dot hit the stage at the Global Citizen Festival in New York's Central Park, and as expected, the Compton rapper didn't disappoint. He ran through songs like "Levitate" from his surprise standout 2016 album, Untitled, Unmastered and "Institutionalized" from his critically-acclaimed, Grammy winning 2014 work, To Pimp a Butterfly, cementing his place as one of the best live performers in rap.

While there's no word as of yet on when Kendrick's next full-length album will arrive, friend and frequent collaborator, producer Terrace Martin promises the album will be just as innovative as To Pimp a Butterfly because Kendrick isn't confined by boxes musically.

“It’s about just being an individual and loving everything you do,” said the producer and saxophonist in an interview with Mr. Wavvy. “There was no pressure from no label or nobody. We did a good kid, m.A.A.d city, we turned around and did a To Pimp A Butterfly, and we’re going to do a third.”
