Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars Nominated for 2018 Billboard Music Awards
The first batch of Billboard nominations has been announced and Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars are among the nominees for this year's awards show.
The announcements for the seven major categories were made by Khalid and Bebe Rexha this morning on the Today Show. Kendrick Lamar has four nominations, Drake has two and Taylor Swift has three. Cardi B also made the list, earning a nomination for Top Female Artist.
Kendrick is fresh off another win, as it was announced yesterday he'd won the Pulitzer for DAMN.. Drake is still breaking records as well, and recently announced he has a new album, Scorpion on the way this June. Earlier this month, he dropped the gorgeous video for "Nice for What," directed by Karena Evans. Among the women featured in the visual were Issa Rae, Olivia Wilde, a cigar-smoking Tiffany Haddish, Rashida Jones, Zoe Saldana (and her two children), fashion model Jourdan Dunn, Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross, Grown-ishstar Yara Shahidi, Black Panther’s Letitia Wright, a zen Michelle Rodriguez and many more.
The 2018 Billboard Music Awards will air on NBC for the first time this year, broadcasting live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
