With Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera hosting 'The Voice,' and Simon Cowell reuniting with Paula Abdul on 'The X Factor,' guess who's next in the televised singing competition house?

West Coast O.G. Snoop Dogg has announced that he's attempting to put together an 'American Idol'-style singing show, and according to the UK Guardian, his version will feature a unique, 'hood twist.

While there is currently a glut of similarly themed talent competition programming, with Jennifer Lopez and hubby Marc Anthony signing on to create a Latin version called 'Q'Viva! The Chosen,' Snoop's show will be "straight directed to the hood...at people with no money, just talent."

During a recent trip to the U.K., promoting his 11th studio album 'Doggumentary,' Snoop revealed his plan for the show, explaining that, while the existing programs are "great shows," he's "looking for a deal from a network to find America's hottest hood artists."

While there is no word as to when, if ever, Snoop will begin work on his hood 'American Idol' show, the Doggfather also revealed that he plans to further branch out with a line of supermarkets.

"I want to open up a supermarket chain," he said. "But I'm going to call them Snoopermarkets."

Snoop's 'Doggumentary' was released on March 29, and features appearances by Kanye West, John Legend Willie Nelson, Gorillaz, Bootzy Collins and more.
