Playboi Carti’s Melodic ‘We So Proud of Him’ Surfaces Online [LISTEN]

Playboi Carti has dropped his self-titled mixtape and everyone is proud of him. The Atlanta rhymer keeps the momentum going with his latest single, “We So Proud of Him.”

According to Genius, the song has been floating on the internet for weeks under different iterations. The track was given several different titles including “Telly Telly” and “Proud of Him” by Carti fans. Now the full version is out courtesy of A$AP Illz’s SoundCloud account.

Produced by 6Silky and BasedTJ, "We So Proud of Him" features melodic keys and a booming bass-heavy beat. On the track, Playboi boasts about his fame and his riches.

"In the lobby, ooh ooh, off the molly, ooh ooh / Hoe we rolling, don't try to spot me / See these diamonds? I feel like Rocky / I'm so cocky, I got thotties," he raps.

"We So Proud of Him" follows Playboi Carti's lyrical assists on A$AP Mob's song "RAF" featuring Quavo, Lil Uzi Vert and Frank Ocean. He is also making movies his with latest single, "Magnolia," which Tory Lanez remixed, much to Carti's chagrin.
