Rapper Lil Scrappy was rushed to an Atlanta area hospital on Wednesday (April 18) after suffering from an asthma attack. According to TMZ, the "Head Bussa" rhymer was drinking pretty heavily on Monday night (April 16) which caused the 28-year-old to experience breathing problems.

"I damn near died ... if it weren't for my driver, mom and rap artist I would have been dead," Scrap tells TMZ.

When the MC woke up Tuesday morning (April 17), he could barely breath or speak. Thankfully, Scrappy's crew brought him to Emory University Hospital where he was treated and later released.

"I felt like I was dying," the rapper says of the whole ordeal. He now has a "breathing machine" to help him with certain asthma symptoms and claims he "will never leave anywhere without it again."
