The West Coast has been producing star talent through the years with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey HussleKid Ink and Odd Future buzzing in the scene. But of course, we can't forget the greats of the Left Coast including Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, Warren G and Snoop Dogg. Ink pays homage to the latter with a cover of the classic rap track 'Gin and Juice'

Part of his performance for BBC Radio 1Xtra Live Lounge, the Los Angeles spitter updated the lyrics a bit and changed the first two lines by replacing Snoop's intro with his own.

"With so much drama in the L.A. street / It's hard being you know me Kid Ink," he rhymes before going into the 1994 song's original lyrics.

He also adds his own changes like replacing "Seagram's gin" with "Patron here." Although his voice is clearly different from Snoop, there's something about this cover that brings us back to the earlier days of 'Doggystyle.' Kid Ink also gave a shoutout to "Uncle Snoop Dogg" via Twitter.

Kid Ink is currently across the pond promoting his album, 'My Own Lane.' However, he returns to the U.S. for a couple of shows in California starting on Feb. 14 then heads to the Phillippines to perform at the 7101 International Music Festival.
