Kid kudiIf you didn't catch Kid Cudi onscreen during the official premiere of HBO's comedy series 'How To Make in America,' Sunday night (Feb. 14), you can currently catch him on the cover of Time Out New York's latest issue. The Cleveland-born rapper, who relocated to Brooklyn to pursue his career, landed top honor as one of Time Out's 'Most Stylish New Yorkers.'

Cudi explained that his classic style is derived from a simple mission to put comfort first. No frills and thrills necessary. "That's why I wear the same jeans every day," he said. After listing a few of his favorite shopping spots in New York, Cudi also made it a point to emphasize that as much as he loves clothing, he would never attempt to debut his own fashion line. "Never. I'm a fan of fashion; I want to be the consumer. I know it's cliché for artists to have their own brand and shit, but that's too much stress," he said. "No colognes, no perfumes, and if I did, it'd probably be, like, eau de Egyptian musk."

And as far as the sneaker obsession that so many rappers have? Cudi isn't sold on it. "I'm into them, but I don't collect. Hell no, I'd never sleep outside the Nike store," he said, "For some shoes?!? I like to get one pair of shoes and wear them till they're dirty. Besides, I don't walk -- I glide, like butter. Float like a vampire. I'm like Louis Vuitton, but smoother. He wishes he were like me."

We hear you Cudi.
