In the last 24 hours, Kanye West’s Twitter account has been buzzing with activity. On Thursday (April 19), West made two major announcements on his timeline.

According to West’s tweets, he plans on dropping two music projects in June, including one with his longtime friend Kid Cudi.

In a series of tweets, he announced that he will release his eighth solo album on June 1. The untitled project will feature seven songs. The second project will be a joint album with Cudi under their group name Kids See Ghost. That untitled album will drop a week later on June 8.

West’s eighth solo album will be the follow-up to his 2016 effort, The Life of Pablo. According to TMZ, Charlamagne Tha God has listed to the album and interviewed him at West's office in Calabasas. As for the joint album with Cudi, that will be West’s second collaborative project following his duet LP with JAY-Z called Watch the Throne in 2011.

This is exciting news for rap fans. With J. Cole, Drake and now Kanye (with Cudi) dropping new albums, this is will be a good year for hip-hop.

"Message to all artists who aren’t Kid Cudi, Kanye West, and Drake... do NOT drop in June (unless your name is Travis Scott) because your album will NOT be listened to until maybe perhaps next year," tweeted one fan.
