Kendrick Lamar Delivers Politically-Charged Performance in Brooklyn [VIDEO]
Kendrick Lamar never disappoints when he performs for a large audience. On Friday (Dec. 16), K.Dot invaded Brooklyn, N.Y., with a great concert that was politically-charged and exhilarating.
Lamar kicked off his show with “Money Trees” and then put the crowd in a frenzy with his anthemic “m.A.A.d city” from his classic album, good kid, m.A.A.d city. Throughout the show, Lamar thanked the fans for their ongoing support. The Compton rhymer told the crowd that the awards and accolades don’t mean nothing to him without his fans.
During the concert, Lamar interacted with the crowd and allow fans in the front row to snapchat and Instagram story their experience. He even allowed one person to rap for the crowd but he failed miserably and was quickly removed.
The 29-year-old rapper performed a medley of hits, including “i” and “Alright.” But the highlight of the night came when K.Dot performed “Don’t Kill My Vibe” as footage of a crazed Bill O’Reilly played underneath him onstage.
Lamar’s concert was sponsored by American Express, in conjunction with their partnership that saw him hamming it up with Shaquille O’Neal in a couple of funny commercials.
If you missed his show, you can watch it above.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar is going to close out 2016 with a New Year's Eve concert at Drai’s Rooftop Nightclub in Las Vegas. You can cop tickets at draislv.com.
