TDE rapper, Isaiah Rashad has released his incredibly impressive debut album, The Sun's Tirade.

The 17-track project features labelmates Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and SZA, and is Isaiah's first official album, following his critically-acclaimed 2014 mixtape, Cilvia Demo. Led by the previously released singles, "Free Lunch" and "Park," The Sun's Tirade is anchored by strong production that comes courtesy of Mike WiLL Made-It, Dave Free, Cam Obi, Al B. Smoov, D. Sanders, DK The Punisher, and Steve Lacy. Isaiah's rhymes are poignant and honest, grounded in the perspective earned from his upbringing in Chattanooga, TN.

On songs like, "Wat's Wrong," he rhymes about his the fleeting joy that comes from popping pills, grappling with his place in life and decisions, over an airy track capped by vocals provided by Zacari.

"Oh you got two Xannies, oh, just don't forget me/Love me for the moment (all in the air now) hug me like a sibling," he spits.

The song also features K.Dot, who true to form, delivers a notable verse, playing on both sides of Gemini personality. "Depending on the way I feel, I might kill everybody around me/Might heal everybody around me, how the wind blow," he raps.

The album is introspective, delving into some of the internal battles the rapper's faced over the past couple of years. He recently revealed in an interview with Juan Epstein that he's struggled with addiction to alcohol and pills. It got so bad that he was nearly kicked off of his label.

“I f---ed up pretty bad,” he said in the interview. “I’m almost got dropped from my label like three times. After I got off tour, I was to stressed out. I started popping pills. I kept f—ing drinking."

Ultimately, he says his TDE family helped him with his addiction. Now, with the release of his debut album, he's ready show why he's one of the most talented, innovative rappers on the scene.
