Ice Cube Heading Out on Tour in February
Ice Cube is indeed a major player in Hollywood, but the hip-hop icon has no plans on retiring from his beloved rap game anytime soon. The celebrated MC has just announced a 28-date tour of the United States in support of his critically acclaimed release, 'I Am the West.'
Cube, who is currently wearing the hat of executive producer for the popular TBS sitcom 'Are We There Yet?,' will kick off the trek at the Belly Up venue in Aspen, Colo. Other stops on the schedule include Dallas, Houston, Baton Rouge, Atlanta, New York, Chicago and Las Vegas.
Ice Cube first made his debut in the mid-'80s as a member of the game-changing gangsta-rap group N.W.A. After departing from the group in 1989, Cube went on to broaden the street foundations of his work to a more aggressive socially conscious tone on such classic albums as 'AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted,' 'Death Certificate,' and 'The Predator' and 'Lethal Injection.' Since then, Cube has had an impressive run as an actor, director and film producer.
'I Am The West' was released last September on Cube's own Lench Mob Records imprint. He recently premiered the second season of 'Are We There Yet?' on TBS this month.
