French Montana and Birdman to Make Cameos on ‘Empire’ Season 3 [PHOTO]
Lee Daniels is bringing more hip-hop star power to the third season of Empire. Rappers French Montana and Birdman are set to make cameo appearances on Fox’s mega-hit series this fall.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Montana will join the cast as music mogul Vaughn who is a member of Lucious Lyon’s powerful inner circle. Meanwhile, Birdman will appear on the show as himself.
On Friday (July 8), Daniels went on his Instagram page and posted a teaser photo of his two newest additions to his drama series. The show’s director, Sanaa Hamri, also posted a photo from the set.
The casting of Frenchy and Baby adds to the list of rappers who have entered the back-stabbing world of Empire. Rapper-actor Xzibit joined the cast last season playing Lyon’s new rival, Leslie “Shyne” Johnson, who is described as “100% wolf and 100% gangster.”
The third season of Empire will begin on Sept. 21 at 9PM ET on Fox.
