As we previously reported, Flying Lotus has recruited Kendrick Lamar for a track that will appear on his upcoming album, 'You're Dead.' And while the LP doesn't drop until Oct. 7, the song, 'Never Catch Me,' is available for a listen.

With a steady drum beat and piano melody (which sounds like it was improvised on the spot), Kendrick spits out lyrics at a rapid fire pace. His words seem to meld into the music, forcing you to concentrate a bit more to let every single word that comes out of his mouth sink in.

"I can see the darkness in me and it's quite amazin' / Life and death is no mystery and I wanna taste it / Step inside of my mind and you'll find / Curiosity, animosity, high philosophy like the prophesized meditation," Kendrick delivers.

Flying Lotus has been wanting to work with Kendrick since his 'good kid, m.A.A.d. city' debuted. “He came through the crib and recorded it and it was great,” Flying Lotus tells Rolling Stone about 'Never Catch Me.' “The funny part is, though, that he wanted to keep that s--- for his album. When I first sent him the track, he was trying to convince me to give it to him. Like, ‘Nah, man, I need that!’”

Flying Lotus' 'You're Dead' LP also features the talents of Snoop Dogg and Captain Murphy.
