As folks enjoy the Labor Day weekend, Fabolous delivered a new project for your barbecue cookout. On Friday (Sep. 2), F-A-B-O dropped The Summertime Shootout 2 mixtape and dubbed it “The Level Up.”

The 13-song collection, which is a sequel to last year’s mixtape of the same name, boasts a mix of original songs and Fabo spitting freestyles over popular tracks.

Among the standout joints on the mixtape include the seductive rap ballad “Faith in Me” featuring Wale. The Brooklyn rhymer delivers smooth come-hither lyrics while Folarin croons a melodic hook. The orchestral street banger "For the Family" is gritty posse track featuring Dave East and Don Q.

Another the stellar track is "Ashanti" where Fabo uses R&B singer Ashanti as a metaphor while slapping haters with his brutal lyrics.
"Killing hoes, killing foes and killing flows / Black jeans, black hoodies, these are killer clothes / Damn, maybe I've should have signed with Murda Inc. / But my units are full of G's I don't know what Irv would think," he raps, adding, "I don't give a f--- what you n----s heard or think."

Elsewhere, Fabolous spits freestyles over Notorious B.I.G.'s classic song "The What," Rihanna's "Sex With Me" and A Boogie's "My S---."

Overall, Fabolous delivered another fantastic project that's worthy of your ears. However, the 38-year-old rapper wants fans to enjoy the mixtape without getting too deep into the lyrics. Check out his tweets below.
