Fresh off a cameo at The Roots' third annual picnic earlier this month, DJ Jazzy Jeff continues to channel the good vibes of summer. Along with fellow beloved spinner Mick Boogie, the one-time Will Smith collaborator dropped a new mixtape that's simply called 'Summertime' and goes well beyond the usual watermelon picnics and poolside BBQs associated with the season.

"49 songs... expertly mixed, cut and transitioned by two of America's most popular DJ's," reads the tape's very true Web description. "The songs cover any and everything 'summer' related. From songs about summer to songs that just feel like the sunshine season, this multi-genre mix will be sure to make your already great summer even better!"

Released by Undrcrwn, a clothing company that apparently tries to mix street wear fashion with the spirit of basketball, the tape truly does seem to be made with our long barbecue season in mind. The mix kicks off with Kool & The Gang and Quincy Jones before delving into a mixture of hip-hop, r&b and classic summer jams. Along the way, there's appearances by Ice Cube, Jay-Z, A Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla, LL Cool J, Pharcyde, De La Soul, Notorious B.I.G. and some nostalgic one-hit-wonder anthems from acts like Skee-Lo and Montell Jordan.

Don't sleep on this one. This is the perfect concept for both of these DJs and they sound great ripping through so many classics back-to-back. Download the tape here and view the full track list here.
