B.G. Arrested for Fourth Time This Year
Former Cash Money rapper B.G. was arrested in New Orleans on Tuesday, Nov. 3 marking his fourth arrest for this year alone.
B.G., born Christopher Dorsey, was pulled over for a routine traffic stop, and arrested, along with two others, after police found three handguns, several loaded magazines, extended clips and drugs in the rapper's Chevy Tahoe. Two of the three firearms were stolen. B.G. and Jerod Fedison, 28, were charged with illegally carrying a firearm, while the minor, Demounde Pollard, 17, received additional charges for possession of the drugs hydrocodone, oxycodone and alprazolam. The arrest of yet another rapper for illegal gun possession comes just days after Cash Money artist Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to a weapons charge in New York City.
B.G. appeared in court for the charge just two days after the arrest and remains in custody without bond. His next scheduled court appearance is Dec. 20. The rapper was arrested in New Orleans last March and in Texas this past summer, but both charges were dropped. He was then arrested for drug possession in New Orleans in June, for which he is scheduled to appear in court next week.
On Wednesday, Nov. 4, B.G.'s label, Chopper City Records, hosted their listening event for his album, 'Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood,' which features fellow Louisiana artists Lil Wayne, Boosie, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Soulja Slim, C-Murder, alongside T.I., Young Jeezy, Trey Songz and Young Buck. The album is scheduled to be released on and Dec. 8, 2009, via Chopper City, E1 Music and Atlantic Records.
