The good folks at Mass Appeal made some major announcements earlier this year, not least the launch of Mass Appeal Records, spearheaded by Nas.

In addition to the long-awaited arrival of Mr. Jones' 'The Lost Tapes 2,' the imprint is looking to cap off the summer with a star-studded compilation album featuring contributions from the likes of Pusha T, YG, Mac Miller, Young Thug, Freddie Gibbs and A$AP Ferg -- the latter three who form an unlikely yet unrelenting allegiance on the project's first track, 'Old English.'

Thugger Thugger opens the account on this boisterous, bone-chilling banger, rapping about "800 castles of Molly" in an unusually subdued manner, which makes the line sound even more sinister than it is. The ATLien's intoxicating influence rubs off onto Freddie Gibbs, who lets his countrified drawl hang loose before resharpening his focus and "letting the chopper talk." A$AP Ferg, who's a regional anomaly himself, finishes off the 40 with a frantic verse of his own.

'Mass Appeal Compilation Vol. I' drops Sept. 2, but it sounds like we've got plenty more heat coming our way before then. Sip on some 'Old English' with Thugger Thugger, Gangsta Gibbs and Fergy Ferg below.
