Young Thug, Freddie Gibbs & A$AP Ferg Receive the Basquiat Treatment in ‘Old English’ Video
When you first hear of a collaboration between Young Thug, Freddie Gibbs and A$AP Ferg, you probably have a very clear picture of what the accompanying video might look like -- a lot of scantily-clad girls dancing around, tough crew members in the background and a few expensive cars. The visual for their song 'Old English,' from the forthcoming Mass Appeal Compilation, Vol. 1, is nothing of the sort.
Thanks to director Ruffmercy, he creates colorful drawings of the three rappers that come to life through animation. The artwork resembles the style of Jean-Michel Basquiat for its use of colors and strange images.
Porky pig, choppers, colorful capsules and booty all receive an artsy makeover in the clip.
