The Weeknd Celebrates 1 Billion Views of ‘The Hills’
The Weeknd has officially hit the 1 billion views club.
The Toronoto singer's video for "The Hills" has officially reached a total of 1 billion views, according to Republic Records’ EVP of Marketing, Jim Roppo, putting him in the company of artists like Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa and Pit Bull, who have all also hit the 1 billion views mark.
Meanwhile, The Weeknd's other popular videos, "I Can't Feel My Face" is approaching 750,000 views, while the recently released "Starboy" has already hit 500,000 views after being released late last year.
The Weeknd has experienced major success this past year. Starboy hit No. 1 on Billboard, making it the third highest debut of 2016. Spotify also confirmed that he passed Justin Bieber for most streams in a single day.
The Weeknd's tour "Starboy Legend of the Fall," kicks off in Stockholm this February. Check out his tour dates here.
