Soulja Boy Released on $35K Bail

Soulja Boy has been released on $35,000 bail following his arrest yesterday (Dec. 15) for felony possession of an assault weapon, reports TMZ.

The 26 year-old rapper was arrested yesterday following a Crime Stoppers tip that he’d been threatening people online with guns. Police showed up to the rapper’s Hollywood Hills home and upon finding guns, arrested him.

Soulja Boy was already on probation for another gun case from a couple of years back, and is not allowed to have weapons on him.  The 26 year-old made headlines back in August when footage surfaced of the “Crank That” rapper pointing a gun at the camera and making disturbing threats to kill his ex-girlfriend Nia Riley and her boyfriend, while branding a gun.

Soulja Boy posted bail around 11 p.m. last night.
