Solange Knowles has a man who wants the world to know he appreciates her support. Director Alan Ferguson accepted his trophy for Video Director of the Year alongside Beyonce at the 2012 BET Awards Sunday night (July 1) and confirmed his relationship with Solange during his speech.

The creative, who worked with Bey on "Party" and "Dance for You," two songs featured on her fourth studio album 4, expressed his heartfelt feelings for the Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams creator.

"I want to thank BET for this honor," Ferguson said onstage. "And Beyonce for being such a great collaborator. She's amazing to work with, so creative. My family in Richmond, Va., and the love of my life, Solange Knowles, who's my inspiration... your woman will hold you down. She does."

Ferguson and Solange have been romantically linked since as early as 2008. Last year, she wrote about a month-long stay in Paris, which included Ferguson and her son Julez.

Besides collaborating with Beyonce on videos, Ferguson has worked with Jay-Z on "Feelin' It," Janelle Monae on "Many Moons," Mobb Deep on "Front Lines (Hell on Earth)" and John Legend on "Green Light," among others.
