R. Kelly Accused of Training 14-Year-Old Girl to Be His ‘Sex Pet’
In what is the latest sexual misconduct accusation against R. Kelly, the singer has now been accused of training a young girl to be his sex slave since she was 14.
In a BBC3 documentary, R Kelly: Sex, Girls and Videotapes, Kelly's former girlfriend Kittie Jones says he trained her to be his "sex pet" from the age of 14. Jones, now 34, says she was "groomed" to have sex with him and others in a "sex dungeon."
"I was introduced to one of the girls, that he told me he 'trained' since she was 14—those were his words," Jones says. "I saw that she was dressed like me, that she was saying the things I’d say and her mannerisms were like mine. That’s when it clicked in my head that he had been grooming me to become one of his pets. He calls them his pets."
R. Kelly has refused to comment on the documentary.
For over a decade, Kelly has been dogged by accusations of sexual misconduct. In 2008, he was found not guilty of child pornography charges. Just last year, he was accused of running a sex cult out of his Georgia home (he's since been evicted). Protests against the singer have been held outside of several of his concerts in the wake of the string of allegations.
Back in January, protestors held a "March for Black Women" outside of R. Kelly's concert at FREQ and Highline Theaters in New York City. The event, organized by Black Women's Blueprint, was part of the #MuteRKelly movement, which aims to support the women who have allegedly been abused by the singer, and encourage people to boycott his appearances and disengage from supporting his music.
The documentary is set to air today.
