Paul Wall and Baby Bash have joined country legends Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson on the list of musicians who've been busted for drugs in El Paso, Texas.

The rappers were arrested early Sunday (Sept. 11) on suspicion of possessing less than two ounces of marijuana, the El Paso Times reports. The hip-hop stars had performed Saturday at the city's Summer Jam concert and were nabbed after police smelled weed wafting from their van.

In a Twitter post, Wall made light of the situation, writing, "fresh out the El Paso County jail wit @Babybash @Biggroy, in the same tank they held Willie Nelson/Johnny Cash." He included a photo of he and Bash in the back of a squad car.

Bash, meanwhile, blasted El Paso's finest, tweeting a link to the following Facebook message: "Ain't 2much worse than a " HOE A-- PUNK EL PASO COP that abuses his authority, jus cuz me and Paul wall are artists! Only GEEKS and fools who don't have any spine abuses AUthority! But I'm back in the FLESH feelin so FRESH, out the tank mang!"

While Wall and Bash admitted they'd been smoking marijuana, they refused to claim ownership of the drug. Both were released Sunday afternoon after posting $300 bond.

In a later Facebook missive, Bash softened his stance on the fuzz.

"I'm not here to diss ALL police, they have a tuff gig and I respect that!" he wrote. "BUT u have the ONE or TWO that will disrespect & abuse the power cuz maybe they got picked on in high school alot and now have a chip on they're shoulder, and that's exactly wut happened to Us, all we did was SMELL like weed and wen he couldn't find it and we didn't snitch on who sparked it he got overdramatic and took us in!"
