After lending his lyrics to Ray J's hit single 'Sexy Can I,' Yung Berg is ready to head out on his own with his debut album, 'Look What You Made Me,' in stores today. The 22-year-old manages to stay far enough away from the pop-hop tracks that populated radio waves in 2007 while delivering age-appropriate -- to some degree -- lyrics with catchy hooks. Berg manages to give his album an extra boost with help from a host of collaborators such as Eve, Amerie, Ray J, Trey Songz and Collie Buddz.

In other New Releases news, Janelle Monae drops another installment of her 'Metropolis' EP, dubbed 'Metropolis: The Chase Suite (Special Edition),' today. The funk-soul singer delivers more of her futuristic, sci-fi lyrics over a complex array of music that captivates your attention even when Monae's voice softens and disappears behind the horns. A breath of fresh air, Monae stands tall amidst the crowd of clone-like R&B singers while reminding us of the trendsetters and soul sisters that rocked before her, i.e. early Erykah Badu.
