Last night, the new trailer the anticipated film, Black Panther, dropped during halftime of the College Football Playoff National Championship right after Kendrick Lamar's performance.

It was a fitting time to show the new trailer—not only was the audience for both the game and Kendrick's performance huge but K.Dot is also the curator and producer of the film's soundtrack.

Starring Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, Lupita Nyong’o as the spy Nakia, and Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Black Panther's nemesis, the film is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated flicks of the year. The latest trailer expands a bit on Black Panther's universe, with a few more glimpses into his afro-futuristic homeland of Wakanda and of course, more action shots.

Plus, the trailer featured snippets of an unreleased song from Kendrick and Vince Staples. Last week, another song from the soundtrack featuring Kendrick and SZA dropped, "All of the Lights."

Black Panther drops on February 16th. You can buy tickets for the movie now. Check out the new trailer above.
