Remember that time last year when a Twitter user created a fake movie concept based on a gorgeous shot of Rihanna and Lupita Nyong'o at Paris Fashion Week? It turned into a reality, was picked up by Netflix, and Ava DuVernay is set to direct.

Well, it looks like we have another awesome Twitter moment on our hands—this one via Missy Elliott and Janelle Monáe. It all started when Missy tweeted that she wonders why no artists ever nab her to direct videos. After all, she is the living queen of epic visuals, a title she's held since the 90s with her "I Can't Stand the Rain" visual, which arguably changed the game.

"Just like artist trusted me to write songs for them I wonder what artist would take a chance on me directing a video for them," Missy pondered on Twitter.

That's when Janelle spoke up.

From there, things took off. Missy gushed that Janelle's videos were already fire (as evidenced by her most recent clip for "Make Me Feel"). Then Janelle joked that she was "already on set" with her hair and make-up done. That's when actress Tessa Thompson, who starred in Janelle's "Make Me Feel" video, got involved, saying she wanted to be down and she was totally cool with just being an extra.

While the whole back-and-forth was entertaining, you can only imagine the visual brilliance that two of the most innovative, daring artists of our time could cook up if they ever truly linked. Let's make that happen, y'all. We're here for it.
