MF Doom is undoubtedly one of the most enigmatic figures in hip-hop. On Monday (Aug. 7), the supervillain came out of hiding to announce that he’s a presenting a 15-week song series called "The Missing Notebook Rhymes.” The first single from the series is “Notebook 00 – Negus” featuring the late and great Sean Price.

Over a thunderous beat and haunting sounds, Doom and P deliver gritty punchlines of guns and violence. The late Sean P begins the blood bath rapping, Stupid nigga Sean, super nigga / Pop, pop, pop, I'm shootin' at your moms / I ain't writin' ahead / I aim right for your head."

Doom comes through on the second verse rapping quirky bars that might leave you scratching your head. For example, he spits, "I've gotten hoarse from yellin' 'Fore!' on the golf course / Scream boat, then sped off in a drop Porsche / DOOM on your hot sauce, take you out to deep water / Group hug, who know the next time you'll see your daughter / Real slaughter."

On a side note, the song is also featured on Sean Price's posthumous album Imperius Rex, which will drop on Aug. 8, the two-year anniversary of his untimely death. The collection features guest features from Smif N Wessun, Rock, Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Freeway, Buckshot, Steele, Junior Reid, Styles P and the late Prodigy with productions assists from Nottz, Marco Polo, Alchemist and others.
