Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Win 2014 Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album & More
The duo won Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song -- both for 'Thrift Shop' -- and Best Rap Album for 'The Heist.' Veteran producer Jimmy Jam was on hand to accept the award for the Seattle duo who were preparing for their big performance tonight at the Grammy Awards.
According to the New York Times, Macklemore will allow 34 couples from different sexual orientations and ethnic backgrounds to get married legally during their performance. Queen Latifah will officiate the weddings along with pop icon Madonna, who will be joining Macklemore onstage.
Among those getting hitched tonight is Ryan Lewis’ sister Laura -- she's currently engaged to her boyfriend, Alex.
“A night that is already tremendous for me, for the music, but to have my sister get married and my family there watching it -- that makes it a whole other level of amazing," Lewis told the NYTimes.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are up for seven Grammy nominations including Song of the Year for 'Same Love.'
Congratulations to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis on their three Grammy trophies. It’s well-deserved.
