Macklemore and Lil Yachty Are Young Kids Having Fun in ‘Marmalade’ Video [WATCH]
If you know anything about Macklemore and Lil Yachty, they are young kids at heart. So for their video for their collaborative song “Marmalade,” Mack and Yachty are young G's having some fun.
In the visual, co-directed by Jason Koenig and Macklemore, himself, the rapper’s imaginary young son, Lil Ben, takes the keys of his dad’s Bentley and goes out on a joyride. Tagging along is his good friend Lil Boat and their respective friends.
The gang heads over to celebrity jeweler “TV” Johnny Dang to cop some iced-out jewelry and perform an impromptu dance routine. Then the guys manage to steal Tom Brady’s Super Bowl jersey, which they they gave to former Seattle Seahawks player Marshawn Lynch who lets them use his giant pool. And then the party really begins.
Overall, “Marmalade” a fun-filled video that is as sweet as the title suggests.
This visual also comes as Macklemore is recovering from a head-on car accident last week in Seattle. Apparently, a drunk driver hit his Mercedes vehicle while crossing into oncoming traffic. Luckily, the "Thrift Shop" rapper and his two passengers walked away unscathed. Police took the driver to the hospital and later charged with him with driving under the influence.
Macklemore is currently working on his upcoming solo album, his first without his musical partner Ryan Lewis.
