Although Lil Wayne hasn’t released any new material, he’s still breaking records on the Billboard music charts. Thanks to Wale releasing his new single, “Running Back,” of which he appears on, Weezy now holds the record of having the most Billboard Hot 100 entries than any other solo artist in the chart’s 58-year history.

Wayne’s debut on “Running Back,” which premiered at No. 100 on the Hot 100 chart, marks his 133rd hit among soloists. The Young Money leader actually beat his artist-friend Drake who has 132 chart appearances.

But in terms of all acts, solo and group, the cast of Glee holds the supreme record with 207 visits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

However, Lil Wayne’s chart achievement will probably be short-lived since Drizzy is poised to drop his More Life playlist. There’s no question that one or more songs from that project will eventually grace the Hot 100 tally and add to his chart totals.

Nevertheless, this is an impressive feat for Lil Wayne who has been slow with dropping new music. Of course, that's because of his ongoing legal battle with Cash Money Records, which has put a damper on his musical activities.
