Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy Talk Self-Defense on ‘My Side’ [LISTEN]
Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy linked up for the song "My Side," which finds both rappers explaining why they have to carry firearms in their respective towns of Chicago and Baton Rouge.
The song doesn't seem to be attached to a future project of Durk's or NBA's but if anything, it proves that both rappers have real chemistry together, and they compliment each others gritty styles nicely.
NBA delivers the hook in the song and also spits the first verse.
"F--- who you is, give a f--- where you from / N---- ain't coming around in that North / F--- all that sh-- n---- I don't want to talk / Where ever we at we gon' shoot it out / I'm up in the hills and I just got a house / Come where you at, know you stay with your dog / Don't shoot out the window hop out spill rounds / Hit everybody we gon' wipe him out," he raps.
Then Durk picks up his end of the tough-talk and lets his foes know to never take him lightly.
"Ran off on the plug to a safe zone / Feds tapping all the iPhones / Goons lurking like a blast zone / Get it right before you die wrong," he rhymes.
After doing a few songs with his one time rumored girlfriend Dej Loaf and dropping something with Meek Mill, Durk is set to release a joint project with Tee Grizzley that was supposed to drop on Thanksgiving but will now be released on Dec. 8.
As for NBA, he continues to be on an upward trajectory within the rap game and he recently linked with Plies on the song "Check Callin" and E-40 and Yo Gotti on "Straight Out The Dirt."
Hopefully, this won't be the last time Durk and NBA link up, but for now you can rock to their new single below.
