Kendrick Lamar is closing out his phenomenal year with a special concert in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Friday (Dec. 16). The show is part of his partnership with American Express, which saw him pairing up with Shaquille O’Neal in a couple of hilarious commercials.

A small number of tickets were available for American Express members today (Dec. 15) but they are most likely sold out. Nevertheless, K.Dot’s concert will rock the mic at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, N.Y., at 9PM ET. But don't worry, if you can't get a ticket— the concert will be livestream on the rapper's Facebook page for FREE as well as on the official American Express Facebook page.

In a recent interview with Forbes, Lamar offered his own definition of what success is to him as it relates to his music.

"Success is how many people I can impact and connect to in the crowd on a scale where they want to push themselves further in life," he explained. "I always talk about these kids that put themselves in harms way, and don’t actually want to live, but they say when they listen to my music it helps them progress. That’s my success. That means the world to me, because I meet these kids everyday. When I can say the music that I’m making can push these kids through — even if one fan at a time - I will continue to do it forever."
