Kendrick Lamar can pat himself on the back for another major achievement with his recent full-length effort, Damn. According to Nielsen Music (via Billboard), K.Dot’s fourth project went platinum after reaching 1.002 million in sales last week.

This will be the Compton rhymer’s third platinum album followed by his previous platinum-selling efforts To Pimp a Butterfly which sold 1.05 million, and good kid, m.A.A.d city with 1.72 million.

The Recording Industry Association of America has already certified Damn as double platinum in July 2017 based on equivalent album sales. Overall, Damn has earned 3.137 million equivalent album units, of which 1.002 million are in traditional album sales.

Damnis still sitting comfortably in the top 20 of the Billboard 200 chart. Meanwhile, the Black Panther soundtrack, which Lamar and TDE curated, is holding strong at No. 3 after debuting at No. 1 in its first week of release.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar will hit the road with his TDE labelmates on "The Championship Tour." The trek will feature co-headliners SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock and more.

The jaunt will launch on May 4 in Vancouver before hitting a variety of notable cities including Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, and Chicago. The tour will wrap up June 16 in Pittsburgh, Pa. To cop tickets, head over to Songkick.com.
