The Kendrick Lamar ‘Humble’ Parody Video Is the Best Thing on the Internet [WATCH]
Ever since legendary producer Pete Rock called out Lil Yachty for being a mumble rapper, there has been a large contingent of critics who are tired of hearing rappers mumble their rhymes. While the ongoing debate on whether mumble rap is real hip-hop rages on, one comedian delivered a hilarious parody video that takes direct aim at mumble rap and hits a bullseye.
Shakamania X's “Mumble” video flips Kendrick Lamar’s frenetic “Humble” clip into his salvo against rappers who spit indecipherable rhymes in their music. He simply asks rappers to “speak up” and “stop mumbling.”
“I remember way back when a n---- rapped in English / Now they speak in tongues and it’s just a bunch of gibberish,” the video begins. "I don't understand man I need someone to translate."
Shakamania X then asks, "How the f--- do these n----s go viral?!?!?!"
On thing's for sure, his parody video has gone viral with 1.2 million views on YouTube and counting.
Shakamania X, whose real name is Shaq Parker, has also made a parody video for Future's "Mask Off" where he shows off his martial arts skills.
We also included K.Dot's "Humble" video below if you want to hear some real lyricism.
