Kanye West returned to 'Saturday Night Live' for this past weekend's season premiere giving two stunning live performances of his new singles 'Power' and 'Runaway.' Both songs are from his upcoming fifth album, allegedly titled 'Dark Twisted Fantasy' and now set for release on Nov. 22, according to a tweet from West earlier today that crashed the social networking site.

'Ye, whose last turn on the show was in 2007, had some beef with 'SNL' after the sketch comedy show took repeated jabs at him following his 2009 MTV Video Music Award fiasco with Taylor Swift. West even took to his lyrics to air the beef rapping, "F--- 'SNL' and the whole cast/ tell them Yeezy said they can kiss my whole a--" on 'Power.' West, being the provocative artist that he is, performed that song on Saturday's episode, hosted by 'Breaking Bad''s Bryan Cranston. The rapper appropriately changed the lyrics, opting for a more cathartic route.

And while performances on 'SNL' in the past have been constrained by the studio's live setting, West revamped the stage, taking a page from the Beyonce 'Single Ladies ' video -- the same video that landed him in hot water initially -- in a white-out that saw the rapper flanked by some two dozen leotard-clad ballet dancers. For his 'Runaway' performance new G.O.O.D. Music artist and one-half of Clipse Pusha T was on hand to deliver his guest feature on the track, which was also released on iTunes this morning (Oct. 4).
