J.Cole’s ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’ Is Double Platinum with No Features
Even though J.Cole left many of us fans disappointed after he revealed that he wouldn't be performing for a long time during his set at The Meadows Festival, it appears that the Roc Nation rapper might have to reevaluate his options because of his latest feat.
On Wednesday (Oct. 19), Roc Nation unveiled J Cole's newest plaque for his last album 2014 Forest Hills Drive. Powered by the platinum singles "No Role Modelz" and "Wet Dreamz", Cole World's latest work is now certified double-platinum. With 2 million sales to date, it's safe to say that J.Cole went double-plat with - you guessed it - no features.
Because of his tireless work ethic on tour this year, Cole has been relatively quiet on the musical front. His sole release came on DJ Khaled's Major Key album with his song "Jermaine's Interlude." You have to wonder if Cole will follow through on his decision to scale back and not pursue another album or tour. His ground-shaking release of 2014 Forest Hills Drive caused tremors in hip hop for the past two years and it's safe to say that we're itching for more Cole records.
In the meantime, congrats to J.Cole on reaching another milestone during his prolific career.
