Hieroglyphics is gearing up to release something very dope called The Hierotrope Series, which will be a new avenue for the Oakland crew to release some of their cataloged releases and some of their new stuff as well.

Clearly, rap crews have come and gone throughout the years but Hiero's longevity, as well as their commitment to each other and their movement, is nothing short of inspiring. To get The Hierotrope Series going, they shared two previously unreleased tracks by Opio and Pep Love, collectively known as First Light.

The cuts are called "Living The Life" and "FU2," both produced by Unjust and they weren't on First Light's 2013 LP The Fallacy Fantasy, so fans will definitely be getting a nice treat.

In addition, some of the vinyl releases that'll be part of the series will have a cool visual component, where each side will show animated art when viewed through a camera phone in direct light.

You can listen to "Livin The Life" and "FU2" below and look out for the official release of The Hierotrope Series next week.
