CyHi The Prynce Will Finally Release Debut Album This Year, Drops New Song ‘Legend’
CyHi The Prynce has the unfortunate distinction of being the only G.O.O.D. Music artist to not drop a debut project. Since 2010, the Georgia rhymer has been in limbo with Kanye West’s label and things came ahead in 2015 with his perceived Kanye diss song, "Elephant in the Room."
Now that CyHi is off G.O.O.D. Music, the wordsmith is finally ready to release his debut album, No Dope On Sunday. The collection is set to arrive this summer via his new label, Brooklyn Knights/Sony RAL. Yeezy is executive producing the album, and will also feature production from CyHi himself.
On Tuesday (Feb. 7), CyHi announced the good news on his Instagram account. The 32-year-old rapper also asked his fans for their continued support.
"It's time guys I will be releasing my debut album #NoDos this spring/summer," he writes. "I appreciate all the support threw out the years now it's time to show the world what they've been missing. So I need everyone's support threw out this mission because we are about to change something's around in this industry!!!"
To get the momentum going for his new project, CyHi released a new track called "Legend." The song is a bombastic banger with CyHi spitting punchlines and braggadocio lines while announcing he's "a legend."
Time will only tell.
