Chris Brown’s Lawyer Says No Firearms Were Found in the Singer’s Home
The LA Times reports that despite earlier reports that guns and drugs were found in Chris Brown's home following a woman's claims that the singer pulled a gun on her, according to Brown's lawyer, no guns were actually found by the Los Angeles Police Department.
The Times reports that police are continuing to search evidence seized from Brown's home, including security camera footage. But on Wednesday (Aug. 31), Brown's lawyer continued to question the woman, Baylee Curan's, motives. It's since been reported that the woman is wanted for questioning in New York about a criminal theft, and is a dethroned beauty queen. Earlier today, it was alleged that she may've sent a text claiming to "set him up," in reference to Brown, though that text has not been authenticated.
“It has become apparent that the allegations are not just false but fabricated,” Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos said.
Brown was eventually arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on Aug. 30 after refusing to let police into his home until they obtained a proper search warrant. He was released later that night after posting $250,000 bail. He has not been charged and his arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 20.
