50 Cent Says BMF TV Series Is One Step Closer to Airing [PHOTO]
It looks like the TV series about BMF is one step closer to being made.
50 Cent, who's co-producing the show for the Starz channel, posted a photo of a script to his Instagram page. "Look what I got," he wrote. "BMF on deck. Casting info coming soon."
Last year, Fif shared a letter from BMF's head honcho Big Meech, who gave his blessings for the rapper to produce the show, along with Randall Emmett.
"I feel that the two of you are the perfect team to tell my story," wrote Meech. "I'm the only one that can tell the BMF. story, so any person or persons trying to do a film is 100 percent faking. Loyalty is not just a word, it's a lifestyle. Death before dishonor."
BMF (Black Mafia Family) was started by Big Meech and his brother Terry Flenory in the 1980s, and through cocaine sales and distribution, they built a network that extended across the United States. The brothers also worked closely with some of the drug cartels in Mexico.
There's no word yet as to when the BMF series will hit the small screen, but it'll probably get a lot of eyeballs, considering how popular the crew is within hip-hop.
Plus, 50 seems to know what he's doing when it comes to bringing gritty and entertaining shows to television, since Power has been such a huge success.
