50 Cent Replaces Forest Whitaker in New Sylvester Stallone Flick

50 Cent has inked a deal to star in the action flick 'The Expendables.' The rapper will reportedly replace Ocar-winning actor Forest Whitaker who dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.

Director Sylvester Stallone is happy with choosing 50 for the film regardless of how the public may feel. "The anger of the casting of 50 Cent is understandable, but not fair, " Stallone said in a statement.

"A player is only as good as his coach. If a man can communicate in one medium, he can communicate in another if his strengths are brought out and he has the support of well-wishers. So, trust me, the change of Forest Whitaker to 50 Cent a.k.a. Curtis Jackson is a good one." Stallone went on to say that the cast has been vastly improved, and to remind skeptics that no one initially believed in the potential of his successful Rocky films.

'The Expendables' is about a group of mercenaries who travel to South America to overthrow a dictator. 50 will find himself in good company as the acting roster includes Oscar nominated actor Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, and Stallone himself.

On the music side of things, 50 Cent recently shot the video for the single 'Crack A Bottle' featuring Dr. Dre and Eminem. Earlier this week, the Queens born rapper announced that he will be releasing two albums this year, the first of which is due in stores this June.
