50 Cent is scheduled to be arraigned in a Los Angeles court today on charges of vandalism and domestic violence stemming from an incident with his ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy, that occurred earlier this summer.

The rapper faces up to five years in prison and up to $46,000 in fines if he is convicted of the charges, according to the Associated Press.

The Drop.FM reported this past July that 50 Cent allegedly destroyed furniture and other items in Joy's Los Angeles apartment, including a chandelier. This is alleged to have occurred after the two got into a heated argument, which caused Joy to lock herself in a bedroom. The rapper then allegedly kicked down the door and, once inside, kicked her.

50 Cent was charged with four counts of vandalism and one count of domestic violence.

Update: 50 Cent pleaded not guilty to all of the charges, according to TMZ. The judge ordered that he turn over all of his firearms and stay away from the alleged victim, Daphne Joy. The rapper is scheduled to appear back in court in September.
