50 Cent Gets Hit With Lawsuit That Claims He Stole ‘Power’

50 Cent is getting hit with another lawsuit. This time, two men are claiming that Fifty stole the idea for Power from them.

The lawsuit claims that the two men, R. Byron Hord and Curtis Scoon, pitched the idea to Fifty back in March 2011 as a show dubbed Dangerous. Similar to Power, the show centers around black drug dealer who's trying to go clean, his girlfriend and Irish best friend.

If the Hord and Scoon, who are also suing Starz and its parent company CBS, win, they'll be entitled to at least $180,000 in fines per episode of Power, which is currently in its third season.

Fifty has yet to make a comment regarding the lawsuit yet but a CBS spokesperson released a statement earlier today. "We were just made aware of this filing and we are looking into this matter. It is too premature for comment at this time," it read.

This isn't the first time that Scoon criticized the Queens rapper for allegedly ripping off his show.

In 2015, Scoon went to Twitter to blast Fifty. “My experiences and some of the things I share on here to a writer is like striking it rich. They dream about this level of content…And in the case of people like 50 they will steal it, plagiarize it or try to diminish it as a matter of survival…Dubose informed his staff and Byron 50 Cent was interested in Dangerous and would be coming to his office for a meeting. I have the email,” said Scoon in a series of tweets.

Fifty often criticizes FOX's Empire, which Diddy claims was stolen from his life, but it seems that he might have some issues on his own.
