50 Cent recently tweeted to say that men over 25 who don't perform oral sex on women should kill themselves. Then Rutgers student Ty Clementi did so, and some media outlets unfairly tied the rapper's joke into the story. 50 defended himself in a series of tweets, saying "The other night I made a joke about a blow job. My male followers enjoyed it. So I then went on to joke about women receiving the same. Some how they turned a simple joke about oral sex into a anti gay statement. I have nothing against people who choose and alternative lifestyle in fact iv publicly stated my mom loved women. It funny how people think negative statements are news worthy but positive statements are not worthy of coverage. Access holly wood for got to put laughing out loud lol that was at the end of that statement." Pretty wild. [50Cent]

"I'm absolutely blown away by how many 15 and 16-year-olds are playing the banjo," said Scott Avett of Rick Rubin-produced beard rock band the Avett Brothers. "When I was a kid, I wasn't getting near a banjo! No chance!" 'Deliverance' did a lot for the instrument, though. [LATimes]

Though she looks fine onscreen, actress Katherine Heigl says she has trouble knowing how to act in the real world. "I feel totally normal on a set, probably because I've spent so much of my life on one," she told the New York Times. "It's when I go out into the real world that I don't seem to know what to do." Well, that's weird. [NYT]
